Job Title: Kitchen Lead

Location: Pub and Putt

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $16/hr

About Us: Pub and Putt is a new and exciting concept getting ready to open in downtown Nampa. Our pub features 24 craft beers on draft, cocktails, an indoor mini golf course, and a kitchen that creates delicious bar snacks, pizzas, and sandwiches.

Position Overview:

We are looking for someone to lead our kitchen as we prepare to open our pub to the public in early December. The main focus of the kitchen will be deck oven style pizza. As the Kitchen Lead, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, ensuring that food is prepared and presented to the highest standards. You will also take on a leadership role, guiding and mentoring kitchen staff while maintaining an organized, clean, and efficient kitchen environment. This position requires culinary expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to the restaurant’s menu, ensuring consistency and presentation meet our standards.
  • Kitchen Leadership: Supervise and lead staff. Provide guidance, training, and support to staff to foster teamwork and skill development.
  • Order & Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control, food ordering, and managing kitchen supplies. Ensure proper food storage and minimize waste.
  • Quality Control: Monitor food quality and presentation throughout the cooking process. Make adjustments to ensure every dish meets the restaurant's standards.
  • Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment by following food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and adhering to health regulations.
  • Shift Leadership: Lead kitchen staff during your shifts, ensuring that food is prepared in a timely manner and the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the front-of-house staff and management to ensure smooth communication and excellent guest experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 years of experience in a professional kitchen setting.
  • Culinary Skills: Proficient in overall kitchen management including proper staffing, ordering ingredients, preparing for service, and cooking food per the restaurants standards
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organization: Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Food Safety Knowledge: MUST HAVE FOOD SAFETY CERTIFICATION. Understanding of health and safety regulations, including proper handling, cooking, and storing of food.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
