Full job description
The Landscape Foreman is responsible for overseeing and directing landscape projects from start to finish. This role involves planning, scheduling, and executing various landscaping tasks, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Develop and implement project plans, assign tasks to team members, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
- Team Leadership: Train and supervise landscape crew members, providing guidance, support, and instruction.
- Material Management: Schedule the delivery and pick-up of materials, ensuring proper inventory and storage.
- Documentation: Use 1 Spot software to document project progress and completion photos. Use Time App to track teams’ time accurately.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance on equipment and tools, and schedule repairs as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, ensuring a safe work environment for all team members.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience in leading landscape crews, including planting, patios, retaining walls, and sod.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of landscape construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Skills: Ability to read scaled drawings, measure accurately, calculate materials, and operate heavy equipment (e.g., truck with trailer, skid loader, mini excavator).
- Certifications: Valid driver's license (DL or CDL) is required.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members, clients, and vendors.
