Lead Bike Mechanic:

As a pivotal role in the service shop/ rental crew you’ll be help lead a team who makes Mountain Life Supply co who we are. You’ll connect with each guest by sharing your excitement for outdoor adventures and help them explore their needs before they even realize what they need/want. You’ll lead by example and assist in growing and developing our retail/ service team. We are searching for a person who is actively involved in the biking community and is excited to help grow this community. We are a small shop so you must be willing to push your own boundaries and take on different roles as needed. Don’t worry we got your back and are a team, you just gotta bring the desire!

Experience:

· 2+ Years of experience in bicycle mechanic role and/ or leadership role.

· Ability to assess and repair all high-end mountain bike components. Including but not limited Drivetrain, brakes, wheel truing, tubeless tire set up is a must.

· Experience with parts compatibility and use of B2B sites to order customer parts as needed as well as maintain shop inventory and tools.

· Current Bike Mechanic Certification from accredited school is highly encouraged.

· Other continued education certifications including but limited to: SRAM Academy, Shimano TEC, Rock Shock service certification, Fox Master Suspension courses are a plus.

· Experience in servicing of modern pedal assist e- bikes is also cool to have.

· A first descent is not necessary, but you must have been stoked on pushing your own limits in the outdoors within the past year.

· Demonstrated ability to work with a team, achieve goals and create lasting customer experiences.

· Knowledge and experience selling outdoor sports gear (Mountain Bike, Ski, snowboard etc.) is a plus.

Requirements:

· Exemplify Mountain Life Supply co’s Core Values inside and outside of work.

· Actively participate in the bike and outdoors community.

· Execute shop services, meeting or exceeding customer expectations for quality and safety standards.

· Open and close retail store and lead retail and service shop team to achieve daily goals of customer service, sales, service/ rentals.

· Lead by example to Train and mentor new staff, give direction to peers as necessary, coordinate service and delivery.

· Assist Service Leadership team in training and building a team of technicians to accomplish all shop service, Cycle and or Snowsports department functions.

· Identify and implement improvement opportunities for shop workflow, increase productivity, and maintain or improve quality.

· Monitor quality of service work amongst shop staff, reporting any quality or service issues to management.

· Assemble and repair store rental fleet and customer bikes

· Must be willing to learn and work ski/snowboard service and rentals in the winter, this is a year round position.

· This is retail… so weekends, and holidays are our bread and butter. We ask that you are available to work at least one weekend day per week.

· Must be able to spend extended time on your feet.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
