Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Framing Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to lead the framing stage from start to finish. This role requires expertise in various carpentry techniques and the ability to read and interpret schematics. The Lead Carpenter will play a crucial role in ensuring that all work meets our high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate carpentry projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute project plans accurately.
Perform frame carpentry work on new homes and additions.
Lead a team of carpenters, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality workmanship.
Conduct regular inspections of work sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites.
Manage materials and tools effectively to minimize waste and maintain project efficiency.
Troubleshoot issues that arise during the construction process and implement solutions promptly.

Experience

Proven experience as a carpenter doing residential new homes and remodels.
Proficiency in frame carpentry.
Ability to read schematics and technical drawings with precision.
Experience in leading teams on construction sites is preferred.
Knowledge of building codes and standard materials.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and other trades.
Valid driver’s license with proof of insurability is required.
Ability to travel is requested.
Successful completion of background check.
