Leasing Intern (Commercial + Residential)

Reports To: Director of leasing
FLSA Status: Non-exempt, part-time (Up to 30 hours per week)

Summary of Responsibilities The leasing intern is responsible for residential and commercial leasing functions and accountable, as a team member, for yielding an exceptional tenant experience at an Urban Sites property!
Essential Job Functions
Respond timely to requests from potential tenant for showings or other inquiries.
Assist, schedule + perform apartment and commercial space showings and follow up with prospective tenants after property tour.
Process rental applications in accordance with policies and procedures + see new tenants through the lease and move-in process.
Sign leases and renewals with the goal of increasing occupancy, retaining tenants and meeting all financial leasing goals all while strictly following fair housing laws.
Actively execute marketing for unit listings within AppFolio.
Conduct monthly white glove inspections for residential and commercial move in’s.
Perform market studies for existing neighborhoods + potential growth areas, summarize findings and communicate to management.
Collaborate with internal resources to achieve property management + company wide goals.
Position Requirements
Ability to clearly, effectively, and professionally interact with tenants, peers and supervisors to produce solid + timely results.
Maintain positive and attitude when dealing with issues as they arise.
Consistently exhibits a sharp eye for detail, maintains neat work area + highly organized.
Proficient in identifying issues, solving problems and dealing with them directly.
Ability to perform time sensitive tasks concurrently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications and Experience
Customer service experience
Experience with apple products, property management software + social media platforms.
Familiarity with OTR, Covington & East Walnut Hills preferred, but not required, and a willingness to get engaged in the community.
Physical Demands
Moderate physical effort required to sit, stand, bend, lift, walk and climb stairs.
Maximum unassisted lift is 25 lbs. with average lift less than 10 lbs.
Ability to use a computer (keyboard + monitor) and ipad, communicate verbally, both in person and on the telephone, light travel from/to properties, attend meetings and interact with vendors as well as work indoor + outdoor during all seasons.
