Position Summary

The IP Coordinator Team Lead will oversee a team of support staff within a practice group. They will utilize their expertise to drive client initiatives within their team as well as collaborate with leaders regarding any client changes. This position directly supervises legal assistants within a practice group and is responsible for workflow and performance management. The IP Coordinator Team Lead will collaborate on daily functional work with the Practice and Client Group managers but reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Essential Functions

  • Create and cast vision within team and ensure alignment of overall team processes/projects with overall firm structure and goals. Communicate/report out on team development, workflow, resources and planning to firm leadership.
  • Communication: Leadership liaison for communicating firm initiatives, action plans, firm policies, and other firm happenings. Ensure team connection to firm vision, values, and other groups.
  • Workflow Management: Scheduling, load balancing, technical skill assessment, and cross training opportunities.
  • Performance Management: Assess and develop individual's training and growth needs; identify opportunities to learn; identify and develop leaders within the groups. First point of contact for critical thinking, issue resolution, and team questions.
  • Performance Management: Develop and ensure quality work through establishing metrics, processes, and reviews.
  • Liaison: Serve as attorney liaison as well as collaborate across groups to create efficiencies and streamlined processes in order to achieve client or firm goals.
  • Serve as group project lead related to client transfers, intakes processes, creation of client/ business processes; problem solve client billing etc.
  • Serve as project lead on firm related projects as needed.
  • Identify resource and hiring needs as well as skills needed
  • Participate in professional development, continuing education/training opportunities.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/education

Qualifications

  • 5 years of relevant work experience
  • 3 years of leadership/supervisory experience in complex reporting structure
  • Proven experience leading change, process improvement and/or projects
  • Demonstrated understanding and implementation of the firm's vision and values
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
