What We are Looking For:

We are currently hiring Licensed Clinicians, such as LPCs and LCSWs to serve as Licensed Behavior Specialists. What You Will Do as a Behavior Specialist:

  • Provide crisis stabilization to supported persons and ensure their health and safety
  • Provide Therapeutic Consultation Services to supported persons in accordance with company policies and procedures and Virginia Licensing and Medicaid requirements
  • Develop behavior plans
  • Implement positive behavior supports to include assessing and restructuring the environment to decrease maladaptive behaviors and increase adaptive behaviors
  • Train and evaluate staff on behavior plans

  • Annual salary up to $80,000, depending on credentials and experience.

What You Need to Have:

  • Position requires at a minimum: BA/BS degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Human Services, or a related area from an accredited college or university
  • Three years of documented experience working with special needs and challenging behaviors, particularly with the ID/DD population
  • Experience in developing behavior plans; MA/MS preferred
  • BCaBA, PBSF, BCBA, or unrestricted clinical licensure in VA such as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist are REQUIRED
  • Documentation of experience working with/developing behavior plans with special needs populations is REQUIRED
  • Significant experience working with ABA-based supports or in an environment that is committed to positive behavioral supports
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends and be able to respond to crisis situations
