Agent-Owner, Joe Freund’s Mission is to provide superior professional service that helps people align their financial goals with their dreams and manage their day-to-day risks. Joe is a 20-year State Farm Agent; among the top 100 agents across the USA. Joe is a 3rd generation State Farm Agent, and currently has two office locations in San Francisco.
Joe is currently seeking an experienced Receptionist/Customer Service Associate (no insurance license required) to join his high performing, diverse and friendly team.
Key Responsibilities of the Role
- Be able to work a set schedule in person in one of our offices in San Francisco, CA (No Remote or Hybrid Option) - 1501 Church St or 1732 Divisadero St
- Answer 10-15 inbound phone calls and resolve customer requests via email and phone, follow-up utilizing State Farm customer relationship management tool (ECRM/Salesforce)
- Adhere to Agency electronic customer files and call/email notes process
- Process Customer Payments, follow-up with receipt
- Identify and make customer pivots to additional products/services based on need and send to producer team
- Prepare Evidence of Insurance and coordinate with mortgage and realtors
- Consult with customer on coverage replacement cost, liability assessment and life need analysis
- Appointment confirmation and preparation as needed
- Prepare quotes and determine eligibility
- Respond to and resolve billing issues as they arise
- Assist in new staff training
- 10 annual Life product production – term & permanent (if licensed)
- Follow up on Personal & Commercial lines underwriting, service and memos
- Prepare Household Spreadsheets for large customers
- Communicate and follow up on “Late Payment Notices”
- Process inbound claims and adhere to Agency follow up process
- Ask for Customer Reviews for Google/YELP (10 minimum per year)
To be successful in this role, you must have
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong phone skills, with the ability to build confidence with customer
- Driven by process, systems, and attention to detail
- Creative problem-solving abilities
- Organized, resourceful and detailed oriented
- Professional, reliable and the ability to multi-task; as well as work autonomously
- CA Property/Casualty Insurance License (Required)
- CA Life Insurance Licensed (Recommended)

Compensation: $25-30/hour (DOE)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
