Licensed Psychotherapist in Illinois (Telehealth)

Stella is searching for a devoted Psychotherapist, independently licensed in Illinois, who is eager to be part of our esteemed group of professionals. Position Overview:

As a member of Stella’s specialized team, you will work alongside trusted providers who act as the “special forces” in mental health. Your role is pivotal during the transformational period following Stella’s groundbreaking biological mental health treatments. Together, we will unveil the unseen, guiding patients to clarity amidst the fog of mental challenges. Trust is our currency, and in our partnership with patients, it will always hold more weight than rank. Remember, while we offer advanced treatments, there is no quick-fix magic. Dedication and perseverance are keys to healing and overcoming years of trauma.

Role Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients for treatment suitability by considering their motivation, insight, safety, and external contributing factors.
• Craft and initiate a tailored psychotherapy treatment plan. This will encompass strategies to enhance a patient’s response to Stella’s biological mental health interventions.
• Regularly engage in Stella’s mental health team sessions, both group and individual.
• Collaborate seamlessly with clinic leaders on evolving projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:

• A master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical/Counseling Psychology, or Marital and Family Therapy. Other fields may be considered based on licensure.
• Valid membership/license in a regulatory body permitting psychotherapy engagement, preferably allowing independent practice.
• Independently Licensed in Illinois
• Availability for a flexible, part-time contractor commitment between 10-20 hours per week.

Experience & Additional Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in adult therapy with a focus on mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, somatic disorders, pain, and trauma.
• Emphasis on trauma-informed care.
• Lived experiences enhancing clinical competencies are highly regarded.
• Familiarity with diverse adult demographics, especially veterans, first responders, and civilians who have suffered post-traumatic stress injury, is desired.
• Collaborative team experience and adeptness at client management.
• Personal adversities and a commitment to personal growth are cherished.
• Understanding the effects of psychedelics is helpful but not mandatory.
