Job Description:
Thompson Logging is seeking an experienced Log Truck Driver to join our team. This position involves transporting logs from active logging sites to mills and yards in Randolph, UT- primarily on off-highway roads. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience operating in rugged terrain and variable weather conditions.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate a log truck on off-highway and occasional on-road routes
Transport logs from logging sites to mills or staging areas
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Maintain accurate logs and required documentation
Follow all safety guidelines, including proper load securing and weight limits
Communicate effectively with logging crews and dispatch

Requirements:

Valid CDL Class A license
4–5+ years of log truck driving experience, with significant off-highway hauling
Strong understanding of off-road driving conditions and safety practices
Clean MVR and strong commitment to safe driving
Familiarity with log scaling, loading procedures, and DOT, drug testing compliance
