Dicalite’s operating footprint includes 16 facilities across North America and Europe. Operating through a fully integrated network of five mines and twelve refining, processing, and packaging facilities, the company has a unique multi-mineral platform that includes perlite, vermiculite, and diatomaceous earth. Dicalite’s core business is selling wholesale products to blue chip customers such as Home Depot, Scotts Miracle-Gro, Cargill, DuPont, Leslie’s Pool Supplies, numerous California wineries, 3M, and Nestle Purina, among others. In 2021, Dicalite launched a direct-to-consumer line of gardening products. These products are marketed under the Harvest Hero brand name (www.HarvestHero.com). Please note that this is a union position with initiation fees & dues required. There are no costs for medical benefits.

Broad Function:

Responsible for assisting in new electrical construction, installing, and troubleshooting low voltage electrical systems, and assisting Electricians II and III with electrical maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Bend, thread, and cut conduit.

· Complete work orders, job safety analysis, and pre-shift inspections.

· Pull wire through conduit, dig footings, and assist in new electrical construction.

· Operate forklift, extended forklift, manlift, and any other mobile equipment required for maintenance.

· Troubleshoot and install low voltage 120V (AC & DC) circuits such as lights, control boards, outlets, HVAC, switches, etc.

· Reset high and low voltage breakers.

· Read low voltage schematics and perform basic mathematics.

· Phase high and low voltage wires.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Must have GED or high school diploma.

· Knowledge of how to safely use hand, fabrication, measurement, and power tools.

· Familiarity with different electrical and compressed air fittings.

· Follow all company safety guidelines and regulations found in 30 CFR (Mineral Resources).

· Must be able to follow directions and have the aptitude to learn.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Familiar with Socorro Mine/Plant layout and equipment location.

· Available for Emergency Call Outs.

· Internal Hire: Must be Socorro Mine Maintenance Employees for 2+ years.

· External Hire: 3-4 years external experience in electrical field.

· Apprentice license preferred.

· Cannot be color blind.

Working Conditions:

· Indoor and outdoor environments, moderate to loud noise levels.

· Standing for long periods on concrete or other hard surfaces.

· Work performed primarily in manufacturing and processing site.

· Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, and climbing.

· Working at height and confined spaces.

· Frequent use of hands for simple grasping, pushing, pulling, manipulating tools/objects.
