Maintenance Lead – Shawano, WI
Role Overview:
Plans, organizes and monitors the activities of maintenance functions and personnel to ensure safe, cost effective and efficient facility, machinery and equipment operations.
Responsibilities:
- Monitors and oversees maintenance, repairs and installation of structural, utility, heating/ventilating, air handling, water, plumbing, fire and security systems and general building/grounds maintenance. Arranges and coordinates outside contractors as necessary.
- Sources, requisitions and maintains inventories of tools, equipment, supplies and spare parts to ensure proper plant operations.
- Plans, organizes and coordinates the activities of maintenance personnel in the installation, repair and maintaining of machinery and equipment, and in the fabricating of parts, tools and fixtures both internally and externally as necessary.
- Assists maintenance personnel in diagnosing and repairing malfunctions in machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and ensure timely return to operations.
- Routinely reviews and inspects machinery, equipment and processes to ensure safe operation, utilization of safety devices and adherence to safety practices/procedures. Follows safe work practices and safety rules at all times and reports unsafe conditions immediately.
- Develops and maintains effective preventive maintenance activities.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned to ensure effective and efficient plant operations.
Qualifications:
Strong working knowledge of building, equipment and machinery maintenance and related activities and the ability to plan, organize and manage multiple projects and priorities of varying technical complexity. Ability to diagnose and solve problems that have little or no precedent. Must have effective human relations and communication skills.
Equivalent of an Associates Degree in Maintenance Management and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
