The Position:

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to take excellent care of apartment homes in the Tacoma area. You will perform standard maintenance tasks such as painting, trouble shooting of appliances, minor plumbing, and other miscellaneous repairs. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously, responsibly, and be a team player. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition, to create value for our owners and maintain a clean, safe, well-serviced place to live for our residents.

Responsibilities· Conduct basic tasks involved in turn units, such as:

Sheetrock repairs and painting

Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality

Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed· Perform routine repairs when necessary (fix locks, install window blinds, appliance repairs, snaking drain lines, etc.)

Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. work orders, grounds) and other tasks as assigned (painting, sheetrock, plumbing, etc.)· Assist in ensuring property budgets are followed

Skills

Proven experience as a maintenance professional

Ability to multitask and manage several responsibilities simultaneously

Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and other systems

Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods

Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices

Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills

Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime when emergencies occur

High school diploma or equivalent

Desirable skills: Knowledge and ability to follow OSHA safety standards and practices.

You must possess:

Reliable vehicular transportation, along with a current driver's license, and vehicle liability insurance.

Your own basic hand tools to accomplish tasks

Fluent written and spoken English

Job Type: Full-time

Interview process:

If you appear to be a good match, Fulcrum HR will reach out to you via phone call. From there you will have a video or phone interview with our HR director and then an in-person interview with the regional manager and maintenance tech.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
