At Mint Innovation, we are pioneering a sustainable way to reduce e-waste build-up and help restore our planet by returning circular green metals to economies everywhere. We are looking for a driven and experienced Manager - Commercial Strategy & Growth to join our team and drive our growth in growth in North America.

With our first commercial facility operating out of Australia, we are following this up quickly with more facilities in more countries to make a true impact.

You’ll be a key part of our growth team and will developing and executing commercial strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and leading cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth and expand market presence.

The Role

This is a remote role, ideally based on the eastern corridor of the US, with travel required for industry events. You will report to the Head of Commercial Strategy & Growth based in New Zealand, and work closely with cross-functional team across the business globally.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Develop and execute commercial strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market presence.
  • Lead the engagement with strategic partners by proactively identifying opportunities, assessing alignment, and managing negotiations to deliver value for both Mint and its partner
  • Proactively identify and evaluate new business opportunities and partnerships to enhance the company's product and service offerings.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, markets, customer needs, and competitive intelligence.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers, partners, and industry leaders to maximize business opportunities.
  • Support the team and provide guidance to junior team members to ensure the commercial team's effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and marketing, to ensure seamless execution of commercial initiatives.
  • Develop and manage the commercial budget, monitor financial performance, and implement cost optimization measures.
  • Own commercial negotiations with partners and suppliers, ensuring alignment with Mint’s strategic goals.
  • Provide regular reports and analysis on commercial performance, market trends, and competitive landscape to the executive team and other internal and external stakeholders

Skills and Experience

Our ideal candidate will have as many of the following qualities as possible:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a business analyst or consulting role
  • Strong understanding of the electronic waste, recycling industry and commodity markets is highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience in strategy execution, business transformation, and program management, with a proven history of developing and implementing effective commercial strategies that have driven business growth.
  • Exceptional quantitative analysis skills, with demonstratable experience in building and reviewing financial models, business cases, and economic/market forecasts, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Inquisitive and proactive approach to identifying business problems and developing data-driven solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship building skill, ability to work both independently and collaboratively across international locations, and ability to mentor and support junior team members
