Your Role as a Manufacturing Quality Specialist
As a critical member of our team, you’ll ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality. You’ll be hands-on from day one, performing key inspections, supporting quality assurance initiatives, and collaborating to drive continuous improvement across our manufacturing processes. Every day, you’ll play an essential role in shaping our reputation for precision and excellence.
What You’ll Do:
- Champion Safety & Compliance: Lead the charge in maintaining safety protocols and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Comprehensive Inspections: Perform detailed inspections across all stages of production—First Piece, Final, Receiving QC, In-Process, and First Article Inspections.
- Document & Analyze: Generate and manage nonconformance reports (NCRs) and complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) following AS9102 requirements.
- Technical Leadership: Set up and adjust gages, collaborate with quality engineering, and provide technical guidance to operators.
- Inspection Planning & Execution: Create inspection and control plans and utilize precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and height gages for accurate mechanical inspections.
- Continuous Improvement: Be a driving force in identifying and implementing process improvements that elevate quality.
- Calibration Management: Oversee the calibration program, ensuring timely calibration and return of gages by coordinating with external vendors and operators.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience & Expertise: A high school diploma (or equivalent) plus at least 3 years of experience in quality assurance or precision machining within a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with GD&T is a must.
- Technical Prowess: Strong ability to read and interpret technical part drawings and work with inspection tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills are required.
