Marina General Manager

Elk Rapids Marina is growing and seeking a General Manager to lead the charge. This position will report directly to our marina owners and will be a result-driven individual. The General Manager of the Elk Rapids Marina on Elk Lake will be responsible for overseeing all business aspects of the marina. We offer several high-quality cutting-edge boat lines making waves across the boating industry. The Elk Rapids Marina has an excellent reputation for selling high-quality boats such as Tahoe Tri-Toons, Centurion Surf Boats, Iguana Yachts, XShore Electric boats, Montara wake surf boats and most recently added Xplor- Delta center console fishing boats to our lineup. Our team is dedicated to excellence on all levels and eager to welcome a new General Manager to lead our team. Our enthusiasm for boating and the beautiful Michigan lakes inspires us to remain at the forefront of the latest and most innovative technologies in the boating industry. Our new Manager should possess dealership and boating experience with a strong business sales leadership skill set, who will lead by example for the team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

- Will report directly to marina ownership

- Oversee all daily marina operations

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention

-Full Marine P&L and budgeting responsibility

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop effective growth strategies

- Utilize our CRM systems to track sales, service and rental activities and manage customer data

- Prepare reports and forecasts for management review

-Hire and manage relationships with employees and manage payroll

- Negotiate contracts with manufactures

- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements

-"Hands-On" inventory management from ordering, listing, to marketing

- Experience with driving and loading boats onto trailers, along with hauling boats on trailers.

- Experience in leadership roles and building positive relationships with team members.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

- Experience with DSM software systems.

- Willing to travel for boat shows, events, networking, and trainings

- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Teams, Excel, Word, etc.

- This is a Salary + Bonus position.

Requirements and Qualifications:
Prior marina and/or marine dealer management experience and a basic working knowledge of boats.

- Proven experience in recreational boat/pontoon sales

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to analyze market data and identify trends

- Proficient in using a CRM

- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach

- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

- Valid driver's license

- Willing and able to travel and attend multiple boat shows, networking and training events.
