Part-Time Entry Level Marketing Assistant

Job Summary:

SHAFER SERVICES PLUS, a leader in HVAC and Plumbing services in Central Texas, is looking for a Marketing Assistant. Under the direction of our Marketing Director, the Marketing Assistant will create content for social media, our website, as well as email/SMS marketing. This position may also include office assistant type duties such as collating newsletters to employees, updating the company bulletin board and data entry/research in Service Titan.

Job Duties:

• Work in tandem with Marketing Director on graphic/video creation for our social media in Canva.
• Creating a first draft for blogs and email marketing messages.
• Assist in creating a content calendar for multiple channels.
• Communicating with third-party vendors when needed.
• Moderate “community engagement” on social media when needed.
• Printing, folding and mailing company newsletters to employees.
• Updating in-office communication boards monthly
• Research and data-entry when needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Associates Degree or working on a Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or closely related field. A combination of education, training and experience that equates to the beforementioned is also acceptable.
• Ability to work in an office and at a computer for extended periods of time.
• Comfortable using Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube and/or TikTok.
• Familiar with Microsoft Suite of products such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Familiar with OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox cloud storage systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience:

• 1 year of creating content and posting on social media for a business.
• Familiar with ChatGPT or other AI systems for content writing purposes.
• Familiar with Canva, MailChimp or Service Titan.
• Knowledge of the HVAC and/or Plumbing Industry a plus.

Job Schedule:

• Part time: 10-15 hours per week
• Must be available Mon-Fri between 8am-5pm.
• Flexible scheduling available around college course schedule.
• Potential for hybrid work after 30 days.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• After school
• Monday to Friday
