Marketing Field Representative

Germantown Mutual Insurance Company is Wisconsin's oldest insurance company! We are a multi-line property and casualty insurance carrier serving customers across Wisconsin and Utah. JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Marketing Representative to cover territory in the northern half of the state of Wisconsin (Fox Valley and above). The ideal candidate will work out of a home office and spend time in the field managing agent and agency relationships, prospecting for new agency partners, gathering marketplace intel, and attending industry and networking events on behalf of GMIC. In addition, the Marketing Representative plays a key role in product development and training users on GMIC technology. This role includes the use of a Company provided vehicle.

JOB DUTIES

· Interviews producers in assigned territory applying for agency appointments.

· Regularly visits agents.

· Educates agents on company underwriting guidelines.

· Conducts research to better understand the evolving marketplace.

· Recommends changes/updates to product offerings.

· Conducts training related to company software.

· Attends networking events/insurance organization meetings.

· Acts as liaison between company and producer.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, & SKILLS

· Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the P & C insurance industry.

· Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience.

· Insurance designation is a plus.

· Ability to work from a remote home office with a stable internet connection.

· Ability to travel regularly throughout assigned territory.

· Some overnight travel will be required.

· Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong problem solving skills.

· Customer-oriented attitude.

· Valid Driver’s License.
