Material Handler

Overview
We are seeking dedicated Material Handlers to work in support of the NIH Warehouse Operations contract. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the logistics and supply chain process by managing materials efficiently and ensuring smooth warehouse operations.

Duties
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory and maintain accurate records
- Operate heavy equipment clamp trucks and pallet jacks to move materials
- Perform order picking, packing, and shipping/receiving tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Assist in inventory counts and stock replenishment
- Adhere to safety protocols and OSHA guidelines while handling materials

Qualifications
- Experience with order picking and utilizing warehouse management systems
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment including clamp trucks and pallet jacks
- Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment maintenance
- Familiarity with shipping/receiving procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Pay: $18.44 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Warehouse experience: 1 year (Required)
• Pallet jack: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
