Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our Athens team. The mechanic will be responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of heavy equipment, cranes, trucks, and support vehicles. This role is essential to ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of our fleet.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment, cranes, and trucks.
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Ensure all work meets safety and compliance standards.
- Assist with field repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with operators and supervisors to identify equipment needs.
- Train under a veteran Crane Mechanic with decades of industry experience.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification preferred.
- 3+ years of experience as a mechanic in heavy equipment, diesel, or crane/truck repair.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair procedures.
- Basic computer and record-keeping skills.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred, but not required).
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
