Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our Athens team. The mechanic will be responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of heavy equipment, cranes, trucks, and support vehicles. This role is essential to ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of our fleet.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment, cranes, and trucks.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
• Ensure all work meets safety and compliance standards.
• Assist with field repairs as needed.
• Collaborate with operators and supervisors to identify equipment needs.
• Train under a veteran Crane Mechanic with decades of industry experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as a mechanic in heavy equipment, diesel, or crane/truck repair.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair procedures.
• Basic computer and record-keeping skills.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred, but not required).
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
