STAFFING SYNERGIES is currently looking to fill Mechanic Line Set up positions for a warehouse opening in Lebanon, PA
We are looking to fill positions for the following shifts:
- 1st Shift - Monday- Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm pay rate $17.00
Position Details
Position Title: Mechanic Line Set Up
Department: Maintenance
Position Purpose: Repair and rebuild plant production equipment and assist set up crew to optimize process parameters to gain peak productivity. The following duties are normal for this position.
The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties; however, it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnosing and hands on repair of all plant equipment.
- Regularly inspect and document equipment condition as well as performing scheduled preventative maintenance.
- Assist in mechanic training programs to improve general plant technical competency.
- Provide input on new job set ups and special equipment design.
- Build jigs, fixtures and special machines to improve production efficiency.
- Ensure equipment safety by following sound engineering practices and plant safety policies and programs (e.g. proper equipment guards are in place, emergency stop equipment is functional, lockout/tag out programs, etc.).
Required Functions
- Ability to read and understand machine schematics, diagrams and other technical materials in order to facilitate root cause problem solving and repair of equipment.
- Ability to communicate complex issues quickly and accurately for timely machine repair. Capability to proficiently use test devices, shop equipment and other tools required to execute the duties of this job.
- Capable of properly sizing and installing new line utilities to machines for proper operation and to insure safe conditions.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand technical documents.
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment such as VOM meters, etc.
- Proficient use of all hand tools. Proficient use of shop equipment including lathe, milling machines.
- Understanding of safe maintenance practices.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability work independently or in teams.
Minimum Qualifications
- 1–2-year technical degree or equivalent work experience.
- 1 years of experience in working in a production environment in a similar position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-year degree in engineering and or technology.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in working with and repairing packaging machines and equipment similar to company’s equipment.
