Melco International is seeking a skilled Mechanical drafter to join our team. Job Summary

This position creates Engineering Mechanical designs, drawings, technical documentation and reports needed for manufacturing and engineering support covering development phases from prototype to production design. This also includes documentation needed for concept and prototype fabrication processes.

Essential Functions

  • Works with the engineering team to create drawings and designs for production and manufacturing.
  • Creates design specifications, documentation, and material lists. Estimates material and production costs for designs.
  • Prepares complete documentation packages for engineers.
  • Verify drawings are correct to specifications, codes, and other regulations.
  • Develop technical reports for engineers. Create internal manuals and work instructions that describe existing products' operation, features and maintenance.
  • ECO/ECN work.
  • Parts manual creation.
  • Coordinate directly with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements, verify design details and recommend modifications as needed.
  • Annotates and verifies all numerical designations and specifications in technical drawings and schematics, using both CAD programs and manual calculations.
  • Provides support to engineering team by creating technical drawings and digital models within deadlines.
  • Assists in ongoing project to standardize and unify design document standards by participating in meetings and preparing presentation materials as necessary.


  • Ability to operate computer-aided design (CAD) software, Solidedge or Solidworks
  • Ability to multitask and manage several projects at a time.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Interpersonal skills to work within a team, taking direction from Engineers.
  • Time management skills to complete work within the required timeframe.
  • Communication skills with an emphasis on reading and writing for creating documentation and reports.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop creative solutions.
  • Ability to work under tight timelines and with minimal supervision.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with focus on MS Excel

Required Educations and Experience

  • Associate degree in mechanical drafting.
  • Experience with CAD software is required.
  • At least 2 years' experience in mechanical design.
  • Proficient in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Proficient with computer software like MS Word,Excel.
  • Excellent technical communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and mathematical abilities.
  • Able to work within strict deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
