Systems West Engineers is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our consulting engineering firm in the role of Project Manager.

We are a team of skilled engineers, designers, and technicians, who are also bicycle commuters, photographers, volunteers, DIY fanatics, gardeners, skiers, hikers, and experimenters. As both colleagues and friends, we enjoy working together to bring enthusiasm and a team-oriented focus on each strategically selected project.

The right-fit candidate enjoys dynamic engineering designs for the built environment, as well as management of design projects, and assigned team members. To be successful at SWE, this position requires the candidate to have knowledge and experience in a variety of institutional facilities and building systems. Preferred system experience includes:

  • HVAC systems

This is a full time, exempt position. Competitive salary starting at $105,000+, DOE. Comprehensive benefits package including company performance bonus, health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plan with annual employer contributions.


  • Prior experience managing multi-disciplinary MEP design projects and teams
  • Degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent
  • Professional Engineering (PE) registration
  • Previous experience supervising and mentoring staff
  • Oregon relocation required. Responsibilities for this role require on-site and in-office participation with hybrid flexibility.
