Job description: Trinity Community Health Centers of Louisiana is currently seeking applicants for a Coding position for a Federally Qualified Health Center located in Winnfield, Louisiana **NOT REMOTE

Full time 8-5 Mon-Fr

Required Qualifications:

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent and

Minimum of 3 Years experience as a coder and medical billing or

*Preferred* Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credential

Experience:

Outpatient Facility or Physician Based Coding and Billing experience

Knowledge of Medical Terminology and Anatomy and Physiology

Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines

Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial Insurances

Experience with EHRs and Coding software

Full Job Description for Coding position:

Assign ICD-10 diagnosis and CPT coding according to physician documentation

Correct denied or rejected claims from clearinghouse and insurance companies

Query physicians or nurses for missing documentation or clarification when documentation is unclear

Assist in patient collection process
