Vital DiagnosTech is seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Laboratory Scientist. As a Medical Laboratory Scientist, you will be responsible for performing complex medical laboratory tests for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. Your vital and accurate work will play a crucial role in aiding physicians in making informed decisions regarding patient care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment and contribute to improving patient outcomes.


  • Conducting a wide range of laboratory tests on patient samples including blood, urine, tissue, and other bodily fluids using automated and manual techniques.
  • Medical Laboratory Scientists perform in many laboratory disciplines to include Microbiology, Serology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Hematology, and Blood Bank.
  • Active participation in CAP compliance and routine and specialty testing for patients of all age groups.
  • Analyzing test results for accuracy, reliability, and validity, ensuring adherence to quality control standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment and instruments, troubleshooting issues as they arise, and performing routine maintenance procedures.
  • Documenting and recording test results accurately in laboratory information systems, maintaining proper records of tests performed and patient information.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, and other laboratory staff to interpret test results and provide relevant clinical information.
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives, evaluating new laboratory techniques and procedures, and implementing best practices to enhance laboratory efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and infection control procedures to ensure a safe working environment for staff and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Assisting in the training and supervision of laboratory assistants and other support staff, providing guidance and support as needed.


  • Bachelor's degree in Laboratory Science / related field or Associate's Degree with MLS certification
  • Six (6) months of clinical experience or successful completion of a six-month clinical rotation within an MLS/MT program
  • Preferred, not required: Two (2) or more years of experience as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist in an acute care setting
  • ASCP
  • Experience with Hema, Chem, and Micro


  • Salary: $30.67 - $38.34 per hour
