Bellingham Urology Group (BUG), PLLC is a leading provider of comprehensive urologic care in Bellingham, WA. Our primary office is located in Bellingham with a satellite office in nearby Mt. Vernon. We are a team of dedicated and highly skilled urologists, supported by a strong network of clinical and administrative professionals. Our primary focus is to deliver high-quality patient care, and our state-of-the-art facilities, including an attached ambulatory surgery center (ASC), allow us to perform a broad range of urological procedures and treatments.

Our practice is led by a board-certified urologist with a track record of exceptional clinical care, who is dedicated to growing and scaling the practice to serve a larger patient population. We are actively recruiting more talented urologists to join our team and expand our service offerings. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Healthcare Business Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in scaling our practice, recruiting new urologists, and optimizing our operational efficiency. We are seeking a talented and experienced Healthcare Business Administrator to oversee daily operations and strategic growth initiatives of our busy urology practice and attached Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC).

Responsibilities:

Operations Management: Oversee daily operations of the medical practice and the ASC, ensuring seamless coordination between different departments and services.

Department Leadership: Direct our three major departments: billing, clinical, and ASC, working closely with their respective managers to ensure optimal performance and integration.

Financial Management: Oversee all aspects of financial management, including maintaining positive cash flow, pursuing business goals and investments, and collaborating with our practice's CFO. This includes managing the practice's financial records, overseeing billing and collections, and maintaining a responsible budget.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, keeping the practice up-to-date with changes in healthcare laws, regulations, and trends.

Efficiency and Patient Satisfaction: Develop and implement strategies for improving operational efficiency and patient satisfaction, using metrics to track progress and make necessary adjustments.

Staff and Policy Procedures: Maintain staff and policy procedures, ensuring they align with our practice's mission, vision, and values. Address any staffing issues promptly and professionally.

Marketing and Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a marketing strategy to promote the practice's services and attract new patients. Conduct strategic planning to guide the growth and development of the practice, setting and monitoring key performance indicators.

Facility Management: Oversee facility management, ensuring that our locations are well-maintained, safe, and meet the needs of our staff and patients.

Patient Satisfaction: Oversee patient satisfaction, ensuring high-quality care and service are delivered consistently.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Several years of experience in a healthcare administration role, preferably within a medical practice setting.
  • Knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong financial management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement operational strategies and improvement initiatives.
