About the Organization

The mission of the Anti-Recidivism Coalition (ARC) is to change lives and create safe, healthy communities by providing a support and advocacy network for, and comprised of, formerly incarcerated men and women to accomplish this mission. ARC advocates for fair policies in the juvenile and criminal justice systems and provides a supportive network of reentry services to formerly incarcerated individuals. Position Summary

The Member Events Associate will play a proactive and enthusiastic role in supporting the Member Events Manager. This position is responsible for connecting ARC members to a variety of programs and opportunities within ARC and the broader community. The primary objective of this role is to assist facilitation of member engagement in monthly support meetings, weekly programming, public speaking opportunities, and other ARC and community events.

The Member Events Associate will actively contribute to event planning, participate in ARC-sponsored events, and serve as a role model to encourage member involvement. Additionally, this position will assist in effectively communicating important information to members, supporting the overall mission of the organization.

Essential Job Functions

  • Collaborate closely with the Member Events Manager to facilitate and encourage member engagement in ARC programs, events, and community opportunities.
  • Assist in the planning, organization, and coordination of monthly support meetings, weekly programming, and other ARC events to ensure high member participation and satisfaction.
  • Actively promote events and opportunities to members, inspiring their active involvement and attendance.
  • Contribute ideas and support event planning efforts to create engaging and impactful experiences for ARC members.
  • Participate in ARC-sponsored events, representing the organization and fostering member engagement.
  • Support the communication of important information, updates, and event details to ARC members.
  • Collaborate with the Membership Events Manager and other team members to ensure effective communication channels with members.
  • Provide general assistance and support to the Membership Events Manager and other staff members as needed.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage and motivate ARC members.
  • Enthusiasm for event planning and creating engaging experiences for members.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative and problem-solve.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends to support events.
  • Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite is desirable.
  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver license.
  • Willingness to work some evenings and weekends, as needed.

Salary/Benefits

  • Pay range is 24.04 to 26.44 doe.
