Full job description

Position Title: Membership Coordinator

Hours: Monday-Friday, Part-time hours (afternoon shift, flexible, preferrably 1:30 - 6:30) *Full-time hours available in summer months

Classification: Non - Exempt, Hourly

Salary: $13-$16 an hour

Reports to: Membership Director

Position Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Membership Director, the Membership Coordinator is responsible for managing overall daily operations related to membership and the front desk/office with the primary concern for reception, parent and member communication, membership data entry and management.

1. 50% Reception

1.1. Greet visitors professionally as they enter the office and provide information needed and/or direct visitor to appropriate staff member.

1.2. Answer telephone professionally, provide information needed for caller and/or direct them to appropriate staff member. Handles phone messages when applicable.

1.3. Ensure front office is neat and presentable with current Boys & Girls Club information available for guests to view and/or take with them.

2. 45% Data Entry/Member Management

2.1. Assist in processing memberships accurately and timely; secures missing information where possible.

2.2. Communicate with parents regarding membership fees and registration periods

2.3. Maintain and understand member tracking and donor software; execute data entry when applicable.

3. 5% Additional Duties

3.1. Volunteer and Attend Club events as assigned.

3.2. May be required to drive Club van periodically and complete daily van safety checklist.

3.3. All other duties as requested.

Required Qualifications:

● Strong customer service skills and experience

● Ability to supervise and motivate Club members

● Ability to manage Club resources and supervise programs and activities related to the Club’s mission

● Knowledge of Youth Development

● Strong oral and written communication skills

● Self-starter, to work with minimal supervision

● Demonstrated ability to use independent judgment, tact, and discretion

● Ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of partners

Preferred Qualifications

● Knowledge of PC and/or Mac computers and software including Adobe and MS Office; ability to learn new programs as needed

● Over 18 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license

● 1+ years of experience in youth development and supervision

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
