Full job description
Does everyone tell you how friendly and hard working you are? Do you enjoy interacting with people while helping them and your employer succeed? Then this is the position for you. We are seeking candidates for the Membership Sales and Service Representative at PEAK Health and Wellness. A successful candidate will possess a deep passion and knowledge of sales and account management in a health club setting. This individual will keep up with updates and trends in the landscape and have a good sense of competition across industries. This employee should be both creative and data-driven to inform insightful pivots and decisions that will drive the brand forward.
Qualified applicants will have previous sales experience and a drive to succeed. Position is 40 hours per week. This individual will work primarily at The Downtown PEAK location. They will report to the Membership Director and Downtown PEAK General Manager. This position includes a free gym membership and other perks and the candidate should be able to work at the Downtown and Blue Mountain locations.

- Acquire new partner relationships to expand market coverage and drive profitable revenue growth
- Achieve/exceed assigned sale and performance goals
- Coordinate complex decision-making processes and overcome objections to generate and close new revenue through corporate membership gains, individual membership, and vendor sponsors
- Strong communication and organizational skills are required, to maintain a level of activity which includes qualifying prospects and generating revenue
- Maintain member retention duties, i.e. cold calls, emails, mailings, new member orientation
- Gain knowledge of and influence industry norms through participation in appropriate industry organizations
- Help the organization understand industry trends, growth opportunities and new product development opportunities by relaying partner and end user customer needs and buying behavior
- Remain current and knowledgeable on all PEAK products and services
- Maintain accurate and timely records for efficient reporting of sales and account management activities via written and oral updates as required
- Perform all other related tasks or duties as assigned (ex. cleaning gym equipment)

Competencies
- 1-3 years sales experience
- Must have strong business acumen and hunter mentality with the ability to generate new business and effectively qualify new opportunities
- Results driven, energetic and entrepreneurial individual placing emphasis on the company goals and objectives
- Understand the value of cold calls and prospecting to successful sales performance and growing market position
- Understand how to target opportunities based on total potential, likely profitability & probability of success
- Ability to build relationships and quickly develop trust with key personnel and executive leadership at partner organizations
- Able to communicate product features and benefits in a compelling way that provides proof of value to partners and end user customers
- Possess excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1-3 years sales experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills
Physical Demands

- Continual standing and walking during shift
- Continual reaching with hands/fingers/arms during shift
- Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling and crouching during shift
- Must be able to occasionally lift over 30 pounds
- Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals
