Summary: Provide support with the daily operations within the Member Service Center. Performs core tasks associated with processing and maintaining individual memberships, rating renewals, customer service inquiries and all types of the Member Service Center cross-training processes.

This position requires working from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday-Friday with one hour lunch. The typical work week consists of 7 hours per day, 35 hours per week. The position requires working on-site at the United States Parachute Association headquarters in Fredericksburg, VA. Remote work is not possible for this position.

Standard Membership Services Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide daily Member Service Center phone and floor coverage.
  • Process memberships, subscriptions, donations, awards and other certifications.
  • Ability to convert/redact/upload various documents.
  • Retrieve and research missing archival information.
  • Provide customer assistance regarding individual accounts and website navigation.
  • Process pending orders, phone, email and postal notices.
  • Print, prepare, process and ship membership cards, magazines and orders.
  • Process returned mail and update address changes.
  • Produce lists, reports, letters, labels, copies, scans, e-mails, faxes, and research as needed to perform core responsibilities.
  • Perform other tasks as needed to assist with the fulfillment of all types of membership, subscription, license, ratings, non-dues income programs, upgraded magazine delivery service and donation e-mail, fax, phone, and postal inquiries.

Education/Experience:

College and work-related experience preferred. Account management, CRM database and/or call center experience preferred.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; and Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft 365, other CRM, Quadient experience a plus.
