Crossroads for Women is seeking a full-time clinician for both its Los Lunas and Albuquerque locations. Therapists provided ongoing individual and group support as a part of a residential treatment program for women exiting incarceration. Services are provided on site during the day at one of our two locations. Applicants cannot be under current probation/parole supervision.

Position Summary:
The Clinician is responsible for ensuring the overall effectiveness of therapeutic services at Crossroads. This responsibility includes, but is not limited to, the proficient administration of psychosocial evaluations and assessments, as well as providing individual and group counseling or psychotherapy. Additionally, the Clinician will engage in crisis intervention within a high-intensity clinical environment. This position operates under the supervision of the Clinical Director with support from a Clinical Lead and Program Director and is accountable for facilitating clinical and psychosocial rehabilitation services. The Clinician will also support program staff involved in related therapeutic and client care activities as needed. It is essential that all staff strictly adhere to the agency’s policies and procedures. Furthermore, the Clinician is expected to demonstrate a commitment to furthering the overall mission of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct intakes and complete mental health evaluation of all incoming clients in therapeutic community. Diagnose new clients and develop appropriate treatment recommendations.
- Manage a caseload of 15-25 clients.
- Oversee treatment and service plan development and progress for each client. Complete treatment plans in a timely manner and update every 90 days.
- Complete and develop a crisis plan for all clients. Support non-clinical staff with recognizing crisis behaviors and crisis intervention.
- Conduct trauma informed groups weekly utilizing evidence-based modalities including (DBT, Beyond Trauma and others).
- Provide individual therapy to residents in a transitional setting. Provide crisis support for drop-in and Outpatient participants as needed.
- Timely completion of client paperwork, including assessments, treatment plans, crisis plans, behavioral contracts, discharge, and transfer plans; participate in treatment planning and follow-up as a member of the TC team.
- Consult with other therapists, agencies, and care providers, as appropriate, to provide comprehensive treatment for clients served; make client referrals when indicated.
- Provide and/or arrange for therapeutic interventions as appropriate for clients in crisis; provides support and consultation to crisis line employees; follow up to determine reliability of crisis response.
- Maintain case files, referrals, and other related documents for the treatment of clients ensuring compliance with agency requirements and meet or exceed state, federal or agency clinical standards; prepares required documentation related to the clients’ care.
- Participate in weekly clinical staff meetings with case management and managerial staff. Work collaboratively with other team members and offers insight and knowledge as part of a treatment team.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members to support client needs and care coordination.
- Provide therapeutic support and insight to clients during disciplinary meetings.
- Support with the daily functioning of the Therapeutic Community including resident meetings, daily activities, and more.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- LCSW, LMSW, LPCC or LMHC discipline-specific Licensure in New Mexico; with direct counseling and assessment experience in a therapeutic substance abuse or mental health setting and/or experience in a residential setting. (Provisional clinicians will be considered with a lower starting wage).
- Strong crisis intervention skills; mediation skills; multi-cultural training.
- Ability to work effectively in a rapidly changing, multi-task, crisis-oriented environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of the team to ensure quality client care.
- Conduct all relationships in such a way as to promote mutual respect, public respect, and improvement of services.
- Knowledge of and ability to comply with HIPAA standards for confidentiality.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices such as DBT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing or others as appropriate for work with co-occurring disorders.
- Satisfactory clearance of Criminal Records Check.
- Must maintain strong and professional boundaries with clients and community partners at all times.
Physical Demands:
- Regular and consistent use of phone required.
- Regular and consistent use of keyboard and mouse.
- Ability to climb stairs on occasion.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Consistent sitting for many hours at one time. Majority of day (50%+) is spent sitting at a desk.

Pay: $62,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
