Position Responsibilities:

Microsoft Entra ID Management:

  • Administer and maintain user accounts, groups, and organizational units within Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Implement and manage Microsoft Entra ID Connect for hybrid identity solutions (if applicable).
  • Configure and enforce security policies, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Conditional Access.
  • Troubleshoot Microsoft Entra ID related issues.

Microsoft Intune Management:

  • Deploy, configure, and manage mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM) policies using Intune.
  • Enroll and manage personal devices (BYOD).
  • Implement and maintain device compliance policies and security configurations.
  • Manage software deployment and updates through Intune.

Microsoft Exchange Online Management:

  • Administer and maintain Exchange Online, including user mailboxes, distribution groups, and shared mailboxes.
  • Implement and maintain email security policies, including Exchange Online Protection (EOP) and Defender for Office 365.
  • Troubleshoot email-related issues.

Microsoft Defender Management:

  • Configure, monitor, and manage Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, and potentially other Microsoft Defender products.
  • Investigate and respond to security alerts and incidents within the Microsoft Defender ecosystem.
  • Implement and maintain security policies and configurations within Microsoft Defender.
  • Generate and analyze security reports.

Microsoft Account Management within Office 365:

  • Create, modify, and disable user accounts within the Microsoft 365 tenant.
  • Manage licensing for Microsoft 365 services.
  • Ensure proper onboarding and offboarding procedures for user accounts.

System Monitoring and Maintenance of Microsoft 365 Services:

  • Monitor the health and performance of Microsoft 365 services.
  • Stay informed about Microsoft service updates and implement necessary changes.
  • Identify and resolve service-related issues.

Security and Auditing within the Microsoft 365 Tenant:

  • Participate in regular security audits of the Microsoft 365 environment and configurations.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices across all Microsoft 365 services.
  • Utilize Microsoft 365 audit logs for security investigations and compliance purposes.

Documentation:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of Microsoft 365 configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Create any and all necessary associated documentation for position.

Technical Support:

  • Provide technical support to end-users for Microsoft 365 related issues.
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate internal or external resources.
  • Cyber Security (to include training and phishing exercises).
  • Maintain device inventory system.
  • Manage password management system.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively with other IT team members and stakeholders on projects and initiatives related to the technical environment.
  • Communicate effectively with non-technical users.

Staying Current:

  • Continuously learn and stay updated on the latest Microsoft 365 features, security updates, and best practices.

Education

  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate).
  • Equivalent experience

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a System Administrator with a strong focus on Microsoft 365 technologies.
  • Proven experience managing and administering Microsoft Entra ID within an Office 365 tenant, including user and group management, security policies, and hybrid identity.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune for device management, application deployment, and compliance policies within an Office 365 environment.
  • Experience administering Microsoft Exchange Online, including mailbox management, security policies (EOP, Defender for Office 365), and troubleshooting.
  • Solid understanding and practical experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and/or Defender for Office 365, including configuration, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Familiarity with creating and managing Microsoft user accounts and licensing within the Office 365 admin portal.
  • Experience with monitoring the health and performance of Microsoft 365 services.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices for Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Experience with utilizing Microsoft 365 audit logs.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to Microsoft 365 services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automating tasks within the Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Familiarity with other Microsoft 365 services such as SharePoint Online and Teams administration.
  • Experience with ITIL framework.
