Position Title: Jumpstart Morning Program Coordinator
Hours: Monday-Friday, 10-16 hours/week (school year seasonal postition)
Classification: Non-Exempt, Hourly
Salary: $25
Reports to: Operations Director
Position Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Operations Director, the Morning Program Coordinator is responsible for the managing all Jumpstart Morning Program locations at the WRPS schools and each locations day to day operations with a primary concern for the morning program management.
1. 60% Site Management
1.1. Support Jumpstart Leads to meet their objectives of maintaining a healthy and safe environment for members
1.2. Develop relationships with Club members, parents, and site contacts
1.3. Independently manage a group of members (15-25)
1.4. Independently manage member behavior - including documentation of incidents/accidents and follow up with guardians
1.5. Support Leads to ensure staff are scheduled for all shifts and fill in when necessary
1.6. Develop and lead staff to effectively execute Club goals/objectives
1.7. Communicate with leadership of jumpstart programs, school and Club to keep consistency and effective communication
1.8. Collect and distribute timesheets
2. 30% Program Development and Management for Morning Program
2.1. Plan, develop, implement and evaluate unit programs
2.2. Oversee grant-required program activities in accordance with established standards and goals
2.3. Evaluate programs on a continual basis and ensure programs/activities are in keeping with gender and cultural diversity
2.4. Develop and assist in training for Jumpstart staff
3. 10% Additional Duties
3.1. Volunteer and Attend Club events or trainings as assigned
3.2. May be required to drive Club van periodically
3.3. All other duties as requested
Required Qualifications:
● Ability to supervise and motivate staff
● Ability to supervise and motivate Club members
● Ability to manage Club resources and supervise programs and activities related to the Club’s mission
● Knowledge of Youth Development
● Strong oral and written communication skills
● Self-starter, to work with minimal supervision
● Demonstrated ability to use independent judgment, tact, and discretion
● Ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of partners
Preferred Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
● Minimum of 1 years’ work experience in a management role, supervising 5+ employees
● Knowledge of PC and/or Mac computers and software including Adobe and MS Office; ability to learn new programs as needed
● Proven ability in program planning and implementation
● 1+ years of experience in youth development and supervision
● Over 18 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 16 per week
Schedule:
- No weekends
Work Location: In person
