Full job description
Milwaukee ER & Hospital is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist (PRN) to join our imaging team. The MRI Technologist is responsible for providing exceptional care and excellent customer service to patients undergoing MRI scans. This role involves preparing patients and equipment for MRI procedures, performing MRI scans, and ensuring accurate and high-quality imaging results.

Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures on patients, ensuring high-quality imaging results.
- Prepare patients for MRI examinations by explaining the procedure and address any questions or concerns.
- Administering contrast materials when necessary.
- Positioning patients correctly in the MRI scanner and select appropriate imaging techniques based on patient needs.
- Enter and monitor patient data in the electronic medical record system.
- Maintain required competencies and demonstrate proficiency in procedural processes and safe equipment use.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and assist with documentation or audit processes related to MRI services.
Experience
- A high school diploma or GED is required; an associate degree is preferred.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology ARRT (MR) certification.
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- 3 - 5 years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
- A minimum of one year of related experience in a hospital setting.
