Company Overview
A Center for Mental Wellness Community Support Programs is dedicated to providing personalized and effective mental health treatment tailored to each individual's unique needs. Our team collaborates closely with clients and families to develop comprehensive care plans that support their journey toward living fulfilling lives.
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled MST (Multi-systemic Therapy) Therapist to join our team. You will receive ongoing training in the effective and evidenced based MST model. MST Therapists do "whatever it takes" to address the needs of youths who have serious criminal offenses. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in behavioral health, social work, and therapeutic interventions, with a focus on working with children, adolescents, and families.
Responsibilities
- Provide intensive, community-based therapy following the MST model aimed at reducing behavioral issues and promoting positive change within families and communities.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, gathering and documenting detailed client information.
- Manage case documentation timely and accurately, in accordance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality of medical records and records of patient care.
- Engage in crisis management and crisis intervention strategies to stabilize clients experiencing acute behavioral or mental health crises.
- Participate in regular training, supervision, and consultation activities designed to help you acquire extensive clinical skills within the MST model.
- Assure, along with team-members, that clients have access to 24/7 week support, as needed.
- Willing and able to drive state-wide to deliver services to clients using one's own personal vehicle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or Social Work required.
- Minimum one-year professional experience working with youths and families within the mental/behavioral health setting.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or other special needs populations, or experience working with youth who have inappropriate sexual behaviors.
- Skilled in crisis prevention and management.
- Knowledge of medical documentation standards, HIPAA compliance relevant to mental health care.
- Ability to manage conflict effectively while fostering a supportive environment for clients and families.
- Must have valid driver license and registered and insured vehicle which you will use for travel.
- Willing to travel state-wide.
- Willing to complete background check.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
