Musical IQ's engaging drumming programs give students exposure to life skills and culture through a hands-on musical education. We are looking to hire passionate, engaging, and creative musical facilitators with a background in teaching.

Who are we looking for?

Do you love music? Do you love to teach? If so...Musical IQ is looking to hire experienced and engaging candidates as program facilitators who are excited about making and sharing music!

Accepted candidates will be required to complete paid training sessions that will equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills to be successful as a Musical IQ facilitator.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate 45 minute drumming programs for kids (ages ranging from pre-school to high school) in group sizes of 20 to 60
  • Transport of musical instruments and program materials between sites

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years experience teaching in classroom or group settings
  • Ability to demonstrate strong musical skills and capability on drums or percussion
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Attention to detail, organization skills and time management
  • Professional, outgoing and charismatic
  • Coachable and willing to learn
  • Team player mentality
  • Flexible availability preferred
  • Ability to handle unexpected and/or challenging situations

Job Requirements

  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to commit a minimum of 2 to 3 days a week
  • Professional presentation following company dress code
  • Ability to travel throughout 5 boroughs with personal vehicle
  • Ability to dedicate time to training and learning curricula content
  • Drum and Percussion Experience a Must

Our material covers music theory, music appreciation, musical culture, history and life skills.
