JOB PURPOSE
We are growing in Middle Tennessee! NEI is looking for leaders who will be responsible for developing and enhancing a positive student culture and creating student reward opportunities, courses, support after-school programs, workshops, and parent involvement networks. Responsible for ensuring the overall security, safety, and well-being of students and staff, and assists the Principal in the implementation of the school's policies and school oversight. Develop and implement individual intervention strategies to combat failures, reduce absenteeism, and increase the likelihood that students
will remain in school and on track to graduate college-ready. Responsible for providing curriculum training and support to teachers and assisting with curriculum implementation. Conducts ongoing staff development, performs periodic classroom visitations, collects and reports quarterly student data, and monitors programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in communicating student expectations and promoting a positive school culture
- Work with students to address personal problems related to school
- Supervise attendance, academic progress, and discipline
- Conduct conferences with parents and all involved personnel regarding attendance, academic progress, or disciplinary problems
- Suggest alternative means and new ideas, different approaches to aid in achieving students' success and improved educational goals
- Ensure necessary disciplinary records are maintained
- Follow-up on students' assigned consequences to ensure the students are in compliance
- Coordinate with counselors regarding student progress toward grade-level expectations
- Supervise and assist staff in emergency situations with knowledge of school campus safety plans
- Supervise assigned area during fire and other emergency drills to ensure compliance with State and school safety regulations
- Engage with stakeholders: teachers, supervisors, students, parents, and community members
- Support staff in the implementation of state, district, and school initiatives and requirements (ex: IEP, 504, RTI process, PowerSchool, TN Pulse, PBL)
- Assist in the orientation of new teachers and with the in-service education of the faculty
- Work with teachers in solving classroom problems
- Develop and nurture partnerships with stakeholders
- Provide instructional support for continuous improvement
- Support a culture for teaching and learning while implementing the NEI Education Model for Continuous Improvement
- Assist with supervision of the cafeteria or commons areas
- Assist in providing supervision for school-sponsored extra-curricular events and club activities
- Secure certification and assist in evaluating teachers using the NEI Teacher Formative Evaluation Tool
- Manage resources to effectively maintain the school

JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s degree (BA) from an accredited college, university or equivalent.· Master’s Degree preferred.· Minimum of three (3) years of K-12 classroom teaching with demonstrable positive impact on achievement.· Demonstrated evidence of involvement in school activities involving leadership responsibilities.· Possession of valid TN teaching certification (as appropriate).· Successful results of criminal and employment background check.· Effective instructional delivery techniques and excellent communication skills.· Commitment to organization values.· Adherence to the requirements of the TN Code of Ethics for the Education Profession. · Such alternatives to the above requirements as NEI may find appropriate and acceptable. · Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with NEI salary and benefit policy. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by Noble Education Initiative.

FLSA OVERTIME CATEGORY
Job is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
