Exciting opportunity for a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our healthcare team! As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a crucial role in performing nuclear medicine procedures, utilizing advanced technology to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients for nuclear medicine procedures
  • Operate specialized imaging equipment such as gamma cameras and PET scanners
  • Position patients and ensure their comfort and safety during procedures
  • Capture and process high-quality images for interpretation by radiologists
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to analyze and interpret images
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed, protecting patients and staff
  • Stay updated on advancements in nuclear medicine technology and participate in continuing education

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher in Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • California state licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in performing nuclear medicine procedures and operating related equipment
  • Knowledge of radiopharmaceuticals, radiation safety, and radiation protection measures
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, physicians, and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in capturing and processing images
  • Commitment to patient care and safety
