Position Summary
As a Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Spravato Supervisor, you play a pivotal role in our mental health care team and oversee our Spravato clinic. This will include, but is not limited to, supervising and providing support as needed to the rendering team in assisting with treatment administration, attending to acute care needs, providing supportive therapy to patients, and signing off on documentation. You shall supervise the work of others especially as it relates to overseeing Spravato administration, providing comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment interventions for adults and children over five years of age. You will focus on delivering high-quality patient-centered care to individuals experiencing mental health disorders, utilizing your expertise in psychiatric nursing to foster mental health and wellbeing.
Role and Responsibilities
Stewardship
- Oversee and support the clinical team administering Spravato treatments, ensuring adherence to established protocols and guidelines.
- Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and training to tech staff and other healthcare professionals involved in Spravato administration.
- Supervise adherence to treatment protocols, adjusting based on the latest research and best practices.
- Ensure the quality and timely completion of all medical documentation and notes, maintaining up-to-date patient records that reflect current treatment plans.
- Provide constructive feedback to clinical staff, as warranted
Customer Experience
- Establish and maintain strong therapeutic relationships, providing compassionate and empathetic care and effectively communicating treatment plans.
- Enhance patient and family satisfaction through responsive service and proactive involvement in the care process.
- Monitor patients during and after treatment sessions for adverse reactions, ensuring prompt and appropriate management of any side effects.
- Educate patients and their families about Spravato therapy, including potential benefits and risks.
- Meet with each new patient and identified family members to evaluate readiness for treatment and answer questions.
- Communicate with patients and develop a follow-up schedule.
Technical Performance and Precision
- Conduct comprehensive patient chart reviews, including medical history, mental health evaluation, and eligibility determination for Spravato treatment.
- Ensure adherence to individualized treatment plans, including the safe administration of Spravato.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as organizational policies and ethical standards related to Spravato administration.
- Implement emergency protocols and manage crisis situations effectively, ensuring patient safety and adherence to clinical guidelines during acute episodes.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance measures to ensure the safety, effectiveness, and continuous improvement of Spravato treatment protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to provide holistic and coordinated care.
- Participate in regular team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient progress and treatment plans.
Learning and Professional Growth
- Continuously update clinical skills and psychiatric knowledge through ongoing education and professional development.

- Stay current with advancements in esketamine treatment and mental health care through continuous professional development, including attending relevant training, workshops, and conferences.
- Pursue opportunities for specialization or certification in esketamine administration and related areas.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Clinical Documentation Accuracy: Complete all documentation and notes within 24 hours and maintain a 95% compliance rate with internal audits for documentation and notes.
- Patient Satisfaction Levels: Achieve and sustain patient satisfaction rates above 90% through effective communication and care strategies.
- Schedule Management: Review schedule for upcoming week to identify gaps in schedule utilization.
- Schedule Utilization: Aim to maintain schedule utilization of 85% at respective location.
- Adherence to Treatment Protocols: Ensure exceptional adherence to protocols, with regular updates based on clinical guidelines.
- Professional Development Engagement: Participate in at least two advanced training or certification programs annually, with a focus on advancements in esketamine treatment and mental health care.
Essential Skills and Abilities

Qualifications
Education
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program.
Experience and Credentials
- Current, unrestricted nurse practitioner license in Colorado.
- National board certification as a PMHNP-BC or FNP-BC.
- DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances.
- A minimum of 3 years of management or leadership experience.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in psychiatric or mental health setting is required.
- A satisfactory background check inclusive of driving records, criminal records, employment references, education, Social Security and OIG/GSA exclusions.
- Authorization to work in the United States without requiring authorization sponsorship by the company for this position now or in the future.
- Adequate home office setup to perform administrative tasks remotely, with stable internet connectivity.
Job Types: Part-time, Per diem
Pay: $60.00 - $75.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
