This is the moment you have been waiting for - classes to become an NA (Nursing Assistant)! After graduation, you can start working right away with the PACS team as an NA at $21.63/hour. You will have 120 days to sit for the state exam to become a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) and you continue to work as an NA during this time! Once you pass the exam and obtain your license, you’ll be working with the PACS team as a CNA with a starting wage at $23.63/hour+!

To be considered for NA classes through PACS you must apply through this posting. If your application is selected, we will reach out to move forward with you in the interview process. You must be fully approved after completing the interview process to attend a class through PACS. During the interview process you will be provided with more information about signing up for a class if approved.
If you are approved for the class, your tuition, textbooks and other class requirements such as CPR certification are covered by us. All you pay for is your enrollment fee, stethoscope and blood pressure cuff. (Reimbursement of these items is possible - inquire for more detail.) We will also reimburse you for the cost of your exam after passing. You will be required to provide your own scrubs and appropriate footwear for the class, as well as note-taking supplies.

Candidates must be able to access reliable transportation to their interviews, classes and work. This class is intensive, and candidates must not attend any other schooling during the class to focus on their studies. Along with these requirements, we also ask for your commitment to working at least one year, full-time, as a CNA with PACS following your graduation from the class and receiving your license.

The requirements of an NA class candidate is to provide care and concern for those who may be unable to care for themselves physically or mentally. They must possess patience, empathy, and unwavering compassion for people. This is a class which includes taking notes, practice, and hands-on supervised direction.
The primary responsibility of a student that is selected is to acquire the knowledge, skills, and certification as a NA by participating in the planned and scheduled educational class. This class consists of classroom, labs and clinical instructions. Upon completion of the NA class a student is prepared to take the state examination to become a CNA.
After completion of the NA class, you will be eligible for employment consideration to be hired as a NA. You must be able to provide documentation establishing your identity and eligibility to be legally employed in the United States, undergo a criminal background check, and provide employment references. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Our care centers offer a warm, friendly, and nurturing environment to transition from hospital to home. Our locations are in Metro Portland or Milwaukie.
The customized rehabilitation programs range from short-term, transitional care that bridges the gap between hospital and home, to long-term care. All programs utilize a comprehensive assessment process to help our interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, therapists, social workers and healthcare technicians in identifying and providing the best possible care and help residents achieve independence and a high quality of life.
