Full job description

Breakthrough Therapy is seeking a highly motivated, creative, and enthusiastic licensed occupational therapist to join our growing team. The therapist must be able to work independently, as well as, in teams and make appropriate decisions based on each patient‘s functional needs. Our multidisciplinary pediatric center is centrally located in Miami. This job requires that the therapist provide services at the clinic, school and home within 10 miles. We are looking to immediately fill the position. Flexible schedule and competitive rates!

Job Responsibilities Include:

· Facilitate habilitation of patients with various diagnoses and developmental delays between the ages of 0 and 21.

· The number one champion and advocate for your client's development in their naturalistic setting (home, daycare, preschool, park, library, playground, etc.).

· Proactively manage your caseload, scheduling, and therapy sessions.

· Support parents in learning ways to foster their child's unique development.

· Prompt and professional client communication, billing, and scheduling.

· Provide best in class techniques, strategies and educational materials for families to further treatment progress.

· Complete necessary documentation within the required timeframe, including treatment notes and progress reports within our EMR.

· Maintain a clean and healthy environment.

Minimum Job Requirements:

· Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (required)

· Current NBCOT accreditation and Florida State licensure in good standing (required)

· Valid driver’s license

· Current Basic Life Support (CPR and AED) certification (or willing to obtain)

· Bilingual (English, Spanish) preferred.

· At least 1 year of experience working with children with autism and/or developmental delays (preferred)

· Level II background screening (required)

· Medicaid number (preferred)

· Strong interpersonal skills.

· Good organization and communication skills.
