Overview
The Order Processing Specialists main functions are processing customer orders in a timely and accurate manner. This position involves working closely with the sales team and warehouse staff to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure order accuracy by verifying with Sales, customers, reps, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain customer and order information within company systems.
  • Maintain daily communication between HQ and production facilities to ensure alignment to schedule requirements.
  • Report discrepancies in processes and plans that will impact order fulfillment.
  • Collaborate with inventory management teams to ensure accuracy of material availability and lead times.

Major Tasks

  • Process customer orders in company software using established guidelines and procedures.
  • Provide regular updates to all necessary company stakeholders.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints responding appropriately and/or involving warranty services.
  • Assist other team members with processing of information and tasks in Epicor and other company software systems.
  • Other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Skills

  • Proficiency with ERP systems (Epicor), Warehouse Management System (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and related software tools.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management concepts including procurement, sourcing, vendor management, logistics, freight forwarding, and inventory control.
  • Experience with warehouse operations including stocking procedures, materials handling, shipping & receiving processes.
  • Familiarity with demand planning tools like MRPs and production planning methodologies.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in order processing workflows.

Position Qualifications:

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in MS Office products
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attendance and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and an ability to switch tasks quickly and frequently
  • Customer Service experience
  • Logistics, inventory, and order processing experience

This position will be based in Columbia, Missouri. Remote is not being considered for this role.

Compensation will be based on education and experiences.

Expected hours: 40 per week
