LOOKING FOR A FUN SEASONAL JOB?
Cool River is now hiring for the upcoming 2024 season! We are seeking professional, motivated individuals to serve as outpost leads.
Proud to be one of North Georgia’s popular summer attractions, Cool River’s mission is to offer vibrant, safe, and memorable outdoor experiences to our valued guests.
The clerk team works to sign all guests in and maintain the inside facility and retail store. We are seeking motivated, positive, and responsible outpost leads to join the clerk team and assist with administrative responsibilities. This is a seasonal position. Our season runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day, with some opportunities on weekends before and after.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate opening and closing responsibilities with the lead team, making sure staff is prepared for day ahead
- Lead by example in the outpost store’s daily processes
- Motivate clerk team to achieve operational goals
- Lead in outpost in such a way that results in teamwork, collaboration, and a well-functioning daily operation and timely resolution of conflicts and complications
- Encourage a positive, professional, and friendly work environment
- Address guest service issues with the goal of having a happy return customer
- Supervise outpost staff and team of leads, ensuring adherence to a safety culture and to company policy and procedure
- Act as a Person-in-charge (PIC) (guest service, troubleshooting, and problem solving) at any time general management is not needed or present
- Observe other seasonal clerk staff expectations
- Complete required forms and paperwork
- Facilitate communication between staff and management
- Assist management with outpost’s employee training
- Provide feedback to staff and necessary documentation to management as needed. Act on inappropriate, risky or unprofessional behavior
- Maintain continued overall organization of the facility
- Report any issues to general manager or owner
- Assist management with other tasks, as qualified and as assigned
Requirements:
- Must be available to work 4-5 days per week Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend OR be available all weekends and holidays
- Basic proficiency in Google Drive, Microsoft Office
- Ability to interact in a friendly and comfortable manner with coworkers and guests

Desirable qualifications:
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a camp or educational setting
- 2+ years of teaching, counseling, coaching, or retail management experience
- College degree or coursework preferred
- Spanish-language, Bilingual
