Packaging Machine Operator - 3rd Shift

G&S Foods is a central PA based snack food company operating in Hanover, PA. We are a co-manufacturer of sweet and salty snacks from popcorn to chocolate-covered pretzels. We are hiring for Packaging Machine Operator. Be a part of our continued Growth & Success at G&S Foods! Our Machine Operator position is a full-time position with a stable work shift throughout the year and great benefits including attendance bonuses and employee appreciation events!

Our Machine Operators are reliable team members responsible for

• Setting up, monitoring, performing changeovers, and troubleshooting vertical form fill machines
• Monitor and adjust each machine to ensure proper cut off of film and bags have proper end seals/ back seals as required
• Monitors and checks weights and product appearance as required
• Properly accounts for product run off and handles this product accordingly; sorts through and reworks all good product

Required Experience, Skills and Abilities:

• Previous machine operating experience (vertical fill machine) required
• Previous experience changing packing film on machines and changeovers
• Basic mechanical skills required
• Must be able to work in varied temperatures (hot or cold)

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use of hands and fingers to handle or feel and reach
• Occasionally lift, carry, and move up to fifty (50) pounds
• Specific vision abilities required of this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision.

Shift Time:

• 3rd Shift: Sunday 9:30pm-7:00am, Monday-Thursday 10:30am-7:00am
