MariMed Inc. is seeking a Packaging Manager at a production and processing facility in Springfield Missouri!

SUMMARY:
The Packaging Manager executes company objectives by managing the packaging operations including: concentrates, edibles, batch data compilation, real time weight reporting, supply inventory management, coordinate packaging schedule, and regulatory compliance that adheres to the regulations established by the DHSS.
- Completes packaging duties by assigning employees and providing oversight on work results and performance metrics.
- Responsible for ensuring that staff remain actively engaged in facility operations and assigned production tasks as directed by the Management team
- Follows and completes the packaging plan by coordinating between the necessary departments and Management team.
- Manage packaging staff in accomplishing set production results, establishing priorities, monitoring the packaging progress and quality controls, resolving problems, and reports the data to company production summaries daily.
- Manages end-of-day cleaning procedures for the packaging department, including the daily breakdown and sanitization of packaging supplies and the vape cart filling equipment.
- Maintains packaging staff by training employees and holding the team accountable on MariMed policies, procedures, and roles.
- Upholds packaging performance by coaching and counseling staff. Responsible for closely monitoring and evaluating the packaging team—both collectively and individually—on job results. The Manager is also expected to be the first on site for the shift and the last to leave to ensure proper shift closure
- Compiles and reviews all packaging data and provides real time updates of concentrate and edible SKUs to internal tracking systems.
- Responsible for updating publicly displayed packaging metrics in real time and holding staff accountable to the objectives.
- Closely track inventory of supplies necessary to complete all packaging duties through the production process; including but not limited to: gloves, SKU packaging, vac seal bags, METRC tags, trash bags, personal protective and other packaging related equipment.
- Notifies the management team of additional planning needs in advance of packaging batches, employee vacations, illnesses, and all other areas relating to packaging staff.
- Reports to the management team if potential bottlenecks in packaging production and/or forecasting arise.
- Secures and accounts for all products from Packaging to Fulfillment stages of the process by implementing the production schedule, standard operating procedures, security systems, and safety measures.
- Responsible for overseeing the quality of product and packaging within packaging processes, ensures standard operating procedures are being followed and reports discrepancies to the management team.
- Maintains professional and technical cannabis knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Individuals applying must be a minimum twenty-one (21) years old
- Must have a valid driver’s license or ID
- 2+ years of full time experience in the cannabis or related industry working as a Manager throughout packaging processes; experience Managing a small team of up to 10 employees.
- A State and Federal background check and pre-employment drug test.
- Experience in METRC, Microsoft, and basic intermediate computer systems.
- Certain situations require that work is completed on weekends, afterhours, and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis, as well as relying on the full extension of the legs and arms to reach items and execute all packaging responsibilities.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 1 yr + cannabis industry experience working within packaging and/or fulfillment ops
- High School diploma or Equivalent
- Must be 21 or older
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check annually
- Certain situations require that work is completed on weekends, afterhours, and holidays
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and push/pull up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to perform the following physical tasks: Periods of prolonged sitting and standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, and carrying boxes.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
