Job Purpose:

As a Corporate Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in advancing our legal and corporate initiatives, working closely with the Institute Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and various Senior Executives/Directors. Sustained and inspired by our relationship with God and each other, we are on a mission to make a positive impact on the world.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Review contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance with legal standards.

Organize and track essential documents, including contracts, agreements, committals, risk documents, and obligations.

Manage the contract database, set access levels, and provide user training.

Collaborate with company attorneys to develop templates and approval processes.

Assist in real estate transactions and closings.

Handle legal billing from related law firms, ensuring smooth organization, accounting, approval, and processing.

Participate in the development of corporate policies, procedures, and programs.

Maintain corporate records for SMA's corporations and trusts in compliance with statutory requirements and best practices.

Assist with annual filings for tax exemption with the Official Catholic Directory.

Qualifications:

Paralegal certification.

Proven experience in contract review, legal document management, and real estate transactions.

Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Ability to collaborate effectively with legal teams and company executives.

Familiarity with corporate policies, procedures, and programs.
