ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for an experienced Chemical Technician to join our lawn care team. This is a hands-on role that goes beyond application — you'll need strong mechanical and plumbing knowledge to keep equipment running, solid turf expertise to deliver real results, and the professionalism to represent our company at every job site.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Apply lawn treatments including fertilizers, pre/post-emergent herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides
  • Calibrate and operate spray equipment; perform routine mechanical maintenance and basic plumbing repairs on equipment
  • Assess turf conditions and adjust treatment programs based on grass type, health, and seasonal needs
  • Haul equipment and materials by towing a trailer to and from job sites safely
  • Maintain detailed service records and communicate findings to customers and supervisors
  • Follow all federal, state, and local regulations for pesticide handling and application
  • Provide excellent customer service at each job site

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3–5 years of hands-on chemical application experience (lawn care, turf management, or related field)
  • 3–5 years of experience towing and operating a trailer
  • Solid mechanical knowledge — ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on spray equipment
  • Basic plumbing knowledge as it relates to spray systems and irrigation equipment
  • Strong knowledge of turf grass types, regional weeds, pests, and treatment methods
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record — required, no exceptions
  • Ability to carry and lift 50+ lbs regularly throughout the workday
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3 professional references required at time of application (previous employers or supervisors in a related field strongly preferred)

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with ride-on spreader/sprayer equipment
  • Familiarity with North Texas turf grass varieties (Bermuda, St. Augustine, Zoysia)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
