Comprehensive Mobile Care, one of the leading dental, hearing, vision, and podiatry services providers catering to U.S. seniors, has an opportunity for a Part-Time Podiatrist to care for the vulnerable geriatric population in Mobile, Alabama.
We are looking for a podiatrist to diagnose and treat minor or serious injuries and diseases of the feet, ankles and the lower part of legs. Podiatrist responsibilities include prescribing orthotics and applying therapeutic treatments for issues like arthritis, fractures and feet corn and calluses. To be considered for this role, you should have a doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine and practical experience in a clinic or hospital. To be successful in this role, you should have attention to detail and be able to treat patients with kindness and discretion. The ideal candidate will provide a high level of comfort and convenience blended with care and compassion.
This opportunity is best suited for a professional looking to supplement their existing schedule and income while serving those in need. There is flexible scheduling and, in addition, you will be provided an assistant to handle all daily administrative responsibilities. All administrative needs including all equipment, supplies, billing, scheduling, and more is covered for you.
It is an independent contractor relationship where we provide the administrative services for you.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Examine patients’ legs to diagnose diseases
- Prescribe joint pain relief medication and foot orthoses that improve mobility
- Review patients’ medical history
- Advise patients on foot care and general wellness practices
- Order additional medical tests (like X-rays, ultrasounds and bone density tests) to form a better diagnosis if necessary
SKILLS
- Experience as a podiatrist
- Excellent knowledge of therapeutic and surgical treatments for the lower extremities
- Familiar with all types of foot problems including genetic abnormalities and deformities
- Ability to work 1-2 weekdays per month
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well both with the elderly
- Empathy and patience when dealing with serious diseases
- Up-to-date with latest technologies and treatments in Podiatry
- Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine

- Licensed podiatrist in the state of Alabama
- Ability to work for 1-2 days per month
- Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients
