Part-Time Pre-K Teacher

Job Description: MMO is seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time Pre-K Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for teaching young children and a commitment to creating a positive and enriching classroom environment. This position involves planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities, fostering social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development, and working collaboratively with staff and families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute a developmentally appropriate curriculum for pre-k students
• Create a warm, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Encourage children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth
• Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about their child's progress and needs
• Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a cohesive program
• Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a preschool setting
• Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively
• Commitment to the mission and values of Wesley United Methodist Church

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• Florida Teaching Certificate in Early Childhood Education
• CPR and First Aid certification

Working Hours:

• Part-time, with hours to be discussed during the interview

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.50 - $15.25 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
