Full job description
Veruca is a fast growing start up in the grocery delivery and last mile delivery space. We are looking to individuals to join our team who are self starters and team players. Our business is rapidly growing and growth opportunities are endless.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all buying and purchase orders including creating new partnerships with brands and distributors
- Conduct market research to identify new products, trends, and emerging suppliers
- Collaborate with inventory management team about discrepancies and relay that information back to vendors for credits
- Develop new relationships with vendors and oversee the partnerships
- Negotiate terms and agreements with partners, including pricing and contract terms
- Implement cost-effective strategies to maximize profitability
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstock situations
- Collaborate with inventory management teams to optimize stock levels for efficient order fulfillment
Experience
- Experience in the grocery or CPG space with a rolodex of industry contacts
- Proven experience in partnership management or a related field
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence others
- Knowledge of procurement management, sourcing, and supply chain processes
- Familiarity with vendor management principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
